This is the upgraded DG version of the film-oriented EX macro. These scratches look bad with a strong light going through the lens, but under normal lighting they are hard to notice. Test ing the lens in a situation that will show any imperfections (image taken on the s mallest aperture lo o king at a pure bright white scene) shows no affect.
