Bomber in the corn, (1940). A wartime work, in fine lithograph of the original and published shortly after the painting had been executed by Nash.

Originally part of a series of watercolour paintings of destroyed German aircraft in the rural fields of Oxfordshire. Nash captures the "diverse distinct personalities of these enchanting monsters" and in these disturbing images, the planes are imbued with a sense of interrupted energy and inner life force. Near fine condition, no fading or spotting. Crown stamped to verso, Parsonage Studio custom frames. ABOUT CANON & RARE BOOKSELLERS.
