This is a rare non-dial antique Stromberg Carlson metal bell box telephone model #1155-Y, it was designed to be wall-mounted. It was manufactured in the United States before 1940.
It is a collectible item in the category of pre-1940 telephones. The cloth covered wire still looks great, with no tears to speak of. The bell box is metal and it has some wear to it and paint spots on the very top, but is still strong, although the mouth piece has two minor chips to it and a missing screw. The insides are missing the two bell heads but most of the interior is intact but the earpiece hook is loose and missing two screws as well. This fine antique Stromberg Carlson is mounted to what I believe is a walnut wall mount.
